DC LENS These are special lenses that are designated for di gital cameras because the lens i mage
circle is desi gnated to correspond to t he size of the i mage sensors of most digital SLR
cameras. The speciali zed design gives these l enses the ideal properti es for digital cameras.
◆ An image se nsor element larger than those correspo nding to APS- C cannot be used i n
di gi tal cameras or 35mm SLR cameras. If s uch an element is used vignetting will occur
on the picture surface.
◆ If you use SD14 / SD10 / SD9 digital cameras, correspo nding angle of vie w will be
30- 85mm.
ATTACHING TO CAMERA BODY When this l ens is attach ed to t he camera body it will automatically function in the same way
as your normal lens. Please refer to the instructi on booklet for your camera body .

due to possi ble focus shift res ulting from extrem e changes i n temperature w hich cause
various compone nt s in the l ens to expand and contact. S pecial allowance is mad e for
this at the infinity setting.

◆ Do not use thinner , benzi ne or other organic cleaning agents to remove dirt or finger
prints from the lens elements. Clean by usi ng a soft, moistened lens cloth or l ens

◆ Thi s lens is not waterproof. W hen you use the le ns in the rain or near water, keep it
from getting wet. It i s often impractical to repair the internal mechanism, l ens elements
and electri c components damaged by water.
◆ Sudden temperat ure changes may cause condensati on or fog to appear on the surface
of the lens. W hen entering a warm room from the cold outdoors, it i s advisable to keep
the lens in the case until the temperature of the lens approac hes room temperature.
